Navigating Life

There is an old song from 1944 that goes, "into every life some rain must fall"! This is true for all of us and yet we can still maintain complete control of our lives even as we pull out the umbrella and rain boots.

You are in control even when you face a wall of problems you are still in the drivers seat. It all depends on you, your perspective and your choice. When those moments come you keep your focus on a positive outcome. You keep your eyes on the prize and that is maintaining your center of peace.

It all depends on how you perceive the situation that vastly improves navigation. For instance, something unexpected happens, you make the wrong choice, you turn left when you should have turned right, whatever you did, whatever happened, those are the moments where you acknowledge an error and you make the corrections necessary to center. Worrying about it, kicking your own ass and continuing to think about what went wrong is only creating more of it! This is something we no longer want to do!

You have the choice to adjust, realign and get back on track. You can't do anything about something that has already happened. Unless you are Superman and can spin around the earth backwards really, really, fast you will not be able to make that moment go away and kicking your own ass is never fun and only prolongs the negativity.

So, you adjust, realign and get back on track! You acknowledge it happened, agree to adjust the situation and you align in your center of peace. You do all of this without self flagellation, without negativity, without further thoughts that creates more.

This is how you navigate the pot holes and storms. It's not that they won't happen, it's how you choose to act when they do that makes the difference. You are the captain of this ship so sit back and enjoy the ride!
