Perspective

I found these words from William Wordsworth quite interesting , "Your Mind is the garden, your thoughts are the seeds, the harvest can either be flowers or weeds", and after thinking about it for a moment I realize that what he is talking about is perspective. It's not just about thinking words or accepting words from other people it is how our brains process the information that we are receiving that also plant the seeds of positive or negative thought seeds.

Think about a rose...I may look at a rose and see the beautiful color and the way that the petals lay, whether it is in full bloom or just beginning to stretch to the sun and the lovely scent that wafts in the air. Another person may look at the same rose and see instead the insect that is tucked into the petals or the discoloration of a spend bloom and wilted leaves. It's all perspective really and how you look at things that make it positive or negative.

It's not that I wouldn't notice that there is a bug on the flower or that it's time is at end and the petals have lost their luster, I would. It's just that my mind would go to the nature of time and how there is beauty in all of the moments in the very short life of a rose from beginning to end. The wilted rose is just a moment in time for the flower because a week ago it was vibrant, new and full of vitality and there was beauty in that just as there is beauty in the end as this flower dies making room for a new rose to grow.

It's all in your perspective!
