Lammas Blessings

Summer is winding down and the wheel of the year brings us to Lammas, a time when the first of the crops are ready to be reaped and preserved to tide us over through the winter months. In long ago times Lammas was celebrated by baking a loaf of bread with the grains from the first harvest, some for eating, a little for the altar in gratitude and a little back in the fields to renew the energy for next years crops.
